It’s Your Voice Podcast
In the summer of 2024 as part of the $300,000 grant from the California Arts Council’s California Creative Corps program, the City of Davis hired Bahia Yackzan, a local Davis podcaster and JEDI expert, to conduct and record interviews of Davis residents/organizations to capture different perspectives and issues in the community to help build belonging in Davis. Below are the interviews.

This organization equips people with tools to combat harassment in their everyday lives and to create impact in the organizations, institutions and businesses around them. They provide free and customized trainings across a number of topics including Bystander Intervention; How to Respond to Harassment; Conflict De-Escalation; Resilience and more.
Step UP!
Step UP! is a prosocial behavior and bystander intervention program that educates participants to be proactive in helping others by raising awareness of helping behaviors, increasing motivation to help, learning strategies and developing skills and confidence when responding to problems or concerns and ensuring the safety and well-being of self and others.
Stop Bullying
When adults respond quickly and consistently to bullying behavior, they send the message that it is not acceptable. Parents and other adults in the community can help prevent bullying by talking about it, building a safe school environment and creating a community-wide bullying prevention strategy.
