Trans Studies Symposium

The Queer, Trans, Feminist STS Research Collective hosts T4T4T, will host a one-day trans studies symposium held in person on May 3 at the International House from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The symposium will feature two keynote presentations by Aren Aizura (U of Minnesota) and LaVelle Ridley (UC Berkeley) and panels by trans studies scholars from both UC Davis and UC Berkeley.

Topics for the day include histories of DIY healthcare, medical tourism, black trans-auto-narratives, and more. The event is co-sponsored by GSW, Sociology, American Studies, STS, and the Davis Humanities Institute, and will include lunch and refreshments.
