SUMMARY:NAMI Connection Support Group for Young Adults - Virtual
DESCRIPTION:NAMI Connection Support Group for Young Adults is a free\, peer-led support group for anyone between the ages 18 and 26 who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition. Mental health conditions include anxiety disorder\, depression\, bipolar disorder\, obsessive-compulsive disorder\, post-traumatic stress disorder\, schizophrenia\, or any condition that affects a person’s ability to lead a fulfilling life. You do not need a formal diagnosis to attend this support group; any young person concerned with their mental health and seeking support may attend. NAMI Connection for Young Adults provides resources to help young people build a support network and access help. Participants will learn together how to establish and maintain wellness. \nYou do not need a formal diagnosis to attend. Anyone who is seeking mental health support may attend. \nWhat You’ll Gain\nBy sharing your experiences in a safe and confidential setting\, you will experience connection\, receive information about resources\, and learn coping strategies. The group encourages empathy\, productive discussion and a sense of community. DESCRIPTION:The UC Davis Black Family day is an event to celebrate Black excellence\, empowerment\, and community. It is open to students\, families\, and community members. \n  \nThe event will be hosted on the UC Davis Quad on May 23rd\, from Noon to 8 PM. \n  \nAttendees will enjoy a day full of entertainers and speakers\, honoring the Black community and building conversations around achievements and contemporary issues. Local vendors will be selling delicious food\, clothes\, books\, and much more. Organizations and clubs join the festivities to share information and host engaging activities. \n  \nGet ready to enjoy a day full of music\, good food\, and celebrations of Black culture.
