DESCRIPTION:Since the 1970s\, National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) has taken place every October. NDEAM reinforces the message across the U.S. that people with disabilities provide invaluable roles and perspectives to our diverse American workforce. \nThe Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that one in four adults (at least 60 million) in the U.S. live with a disability. This statistic is based on what is reported\, however. So\, it’s possible that the number is higher than what is stated.

SUMMARY:Davis City Council Meetings
DESCRIPTION:The Davis City Council provides policy direction\, establishes goals\, and sets priorities for City government. City Council holds regular meetings beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. Most commonly\, meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays of the month\, with additional meetings scheduled as needed. The City Council meeting schedule is subject to change. \n  \nThe Davis City Council meets in the Community Chambers at City Hall\, 23 Russell Boulevard. All regular meeting materials are posted at least 72 hours in advance and special meeting materials at least 24 hours in advance. \n  \nVisit the City Council site for information on agenda\, special meetings\, and more.

SUMMARY:Human Relations Commission Meetings
DESCRIPTION:The Davis Human Relations Commission (HRC) meetings aim to promote mutual respect\, understanding\, justice\, and advancing the human rights of all people. The Human Relations Commission meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. The Commission takes a recess in July (no meeting in July). \n  \nMeetings take place in the Community Chambers at City Hall\, 23 Russell Boulevard.
